Most people enjoy going on a fun adventure every once and awhile, but for some the sense of adventure is what they live for. It’s just part of who they are. These people can’t help but think about their next big adventure and they are always pushing their boundaries to the next level. If you have an adventurer’s spirit or you know someone who does, the thrill to try new things may be more than just a personal hobby – you may actually be an adventure freak.
Below is a look at five sure signs to tell if you, or someone you love, are an adventure freak.
1. Has a Daredevil Spirit
If your last outing included jumping out of a plane, climbing a mountain or going underwater for an extended period of time, you might just be an adventure freak. These people live for the next adventure and they rarely walk away from the opportunity to try new things. They have a daredevil spirit that the average person cannot fully understand.
2. Garage Packed Full of Sporting Goods
Does the sight of new hunting knives for sale get your blood pumping? Do you find it hard to pass up sales on outdoors equipment? Is your garage so full of sporting goods supplies and equipment that there is no room for your car? If you answered yes to any of these questions – you are probably an adventure freak. You truly believe that you could never have too many supplies for your adventures. After all quality outdoorsman tools, supplies and equipment is an absolute must for all great adventurers.
3. ‘Never Give Up’ Attitude
Failure is a word most adventure freak just don’t understand. They are willing to try and try again. In fact, they will keep trying until they find success. This “never give up attitude” makes the adventurer willing to try almost anything you put in front of them.
4. Find It Impossible to Stay Inside All Day
If the thought of staying inside all day makes you blue – adventurer should be your middle name. Those with an adventurer’s spirit will venture outside in nearly all types of weather conditions. A little rain or snow is not likely to be enough to keep them inside for very long. Even if the weather is too bad outside, these types of people will usually find themselves traveling to an indoor rock wall center, shooting range or spend the day shopping for more sporting good equipment.
5. Can’t Keep Track of Time
If you are a true adventurer, the location of the sun may help you determine what time of the day is, but that doesn’t mean that you can track time. Most adventure freaks can spend hours outdoors, enjoying a variety of activities and easily lose track of time. They get so caught up in the moment of their adventure that they rarely consider what time it is until the sun starts going down. They will often show up late for events with the “sorry I lost track of time” excuse.
If you have one or more of the above traits, you are definitely an adventure freak. Those closest to you probably already know that you live for adventure. Chances are that you are even thinking about your next adventure as you read this. One thing is for sure, you definitely have an exciting and fun-filled life and you will have plenty of stories to share with all your friends and family members.
