In the rolling hinterland of Noosa, where macadamia groves stand tall and the horizon stretches wide, a new retreat emerges—a place where modern luxury collides with ancient tranquility. Welcome to Fila Casablanca, a reimagined Queenslander estate where wellness, design, and nature exist in perfect harmony.
Just 20 minutes from the surf and sophistication of Hastings Street, and a stone’s throw from the famed Eumundi Markets, Fila Casablanca offers something more than an escape – it’s an experience. A six- bedroom sanctuary that has been meticulously designed to blend with the landscape, it is a haven for retreats, intimate gatherings, and exclusive stays. Here, farm life meets understated luxury, creating a space that is both grounding and indulgent.
Designed by Alex Zabotto-Bentley, a visionary whose work graces some of the world’s most coveted spaces, Fila Casablanca is a masterclass in blending modern design with ancient influences. “We didn’t want to build on the land, we wanted to build in harmony with it,” says Zabotto-Bentley. “The original Queenslander was our foundation, and from there, every material, every texture, every hue was selected to echo the landscape.”
A DESIGN LED BY NATURE
Zabotto-Bentley’s design philosophy is deeply rooted in place, with an unwavering commitment to craftsmanship and natural harmony. The estate’s colour palette was derived directly from the land, with mineral paints infused with pigments drawn from macadamia leaves, tree barks, and the nearby tropical rainforest. “Every colour, every texture was selected to create a seamless conversation between the interiors and the surrounding environment,” he explains.
Throughout the main house, guests will find four exquisitely appointed bedrooms, each with its own ensuite and private escape. The adjacent Cottage offers two additional bedrooms, a sanctuary within a sanctuary. The ethos is clear: space to gather, space to retreat, and space to simply be. Expansive full-length glazing and vertical timber slats diffuse light, creating a play of shadow and warmth that shifts throughout the day, reinforcing the sense of being immersed in nature.
At Fila Casablanca, heritage materials meet contemporary craftsmanship. From the hand-cut stone bathrooms to the locally sourced timber finishes, every detail has been meticulously curated. Furniture and textiles, sourced from artisanal villages in Morocco, India, and Indonesia, sit alongside bespoke Australian pieces. The result? A residence that feels at once timeless and deeply personal.
WELLNESS, CURATED
Fila Casablanca offers more than just aesthetic indulgence; it is a haven for wellness and restoration. Guests can restore body and mind in the infrared sauna, plunge into the cold bath, or train in the private gym studio – all housed in The Shed, a dedicated wellness hub. For those who prefer something more private, a treatment room is available for massages and facials, or therapists can come directly to your suite.
The experience is made seamless by a concierge service that curates every detail – from private chefs crafting seasonal feasts to yoga and Pilates sessions led by Noosa Flow’s finest instructors. Every stay is bespoke, every moment intentional.
“We wanted to create a space that spoke to the land’s history but elevated it for the modern traveller,” explains Zabotto-Bentley. “It’s about texture, tone, and a deep respect for craftsmanship—from hand- cut stone to the Belgian linen furnishings, every detail tells a story.”
