Take a spin on the ice rink, warm up with a cup of hot cocoa, or enjoy the roving entertainers and winter-warming food at Eynesbury’s inaugural Winter Festival from June 25.
Eynesbury will be hosting a series of free events every night, right into July, that will have everyone wishing the cooler months were here to stay.
Resimax Group Chief Executive Officer Steve Hooker said the month-long celebration was part of Eynesbury’s ongoing commitment to creating a calendar of events for residents to enjoy and showcase their vibrant community to visitors across Victoria.
“There’s nothing we love more than bringing people together for a celebration,” Steve says.
“Grab the family and pull on some ice skates as you immerse yourself in a true winter wonderland. This is going to be a great festival of events that’ll warm up even the chilliest of fingertips.
“There’s plenty of parking available onsite, which will cater to visitors from Melbourne, Ballarat, Geelong, Bendigo and beyond.”
The ice-skating rink is being specially constructed for the event and will be a centrepiece for locals and visitors alike. Bring your own skates or hire on the day, bookings are highly recommended for this activity and sessions start at $11 for kids bringing their own skates, and up to $24 for adults needing to hire.
Along with the fun of an ice rink, the winter festival will also feature mini winter events throughout the month, Steve says.
These include romantic ‘skate and date’ and funky R’n’B skate nights under the stars, to movie nights, appearances from special guests, and a special Eynesbury winter market featuring a wide variety of stalls and entertainment.
A festival highlight will be the Winter Solstice event on July 10th which will see the entire precinct come alive and the sky lit up with a ten minute fireworks display. There will be something for the whole family from African drummers, a bonfire, food trucks, roving fire performers and a marshmallow toasting pit.
“So why not cancel your plans and get to know Eynesbury a bit better this winter,” Steve says.
“There has never been a better time for Eynesbury’s residents to come together to make new friends and celebrate the wonderful place they call home.”
