Slyletica client
SZEP, by Chloe Szep and Mitch Orval, is a case study that shows the power of an
engaged social media following with 90% of SZEP first-drop garments selling out
within 48hrs. SZEP launched in 2018 and continues to be one of the most
successful influencer-led activewear brands in Australia. Slyletica handles
SZEP’s product development and brand management.
“We are proud to partner with influencers such as Chloe and Mitch who are passionate about their personal brands”, says Simon Rawadi, Slyletica CEO. “Influencers are disrupting traditional brick and mortar retail because not only do they understand digital media, they’re trusted voices to their community of followers. The trick for influencers is turning that personal brand into a successful business and that’s where Slyletica can help.”
Slyletica doesn’t disclose its entire client list, but it is safe to say that if you have activewear in your wardrobe, it’s very likely you will have purchased garments created with Slyletica’s input behind the scenes. Despite receiving over 300 enquires each month, Slyletica selects and works with 10-15 new labels each month to develop them into brands. They anticipate to have over 250 brands on their books by end the end of 2020 with over 750 brands having worked with Slyletica since its inception.
Slyletica has unique insight into the business behind social media influencers and the upcoming panel event will provide important and interesting commentary on this growing space. The panel will speak of their experience in building influencer-led fashion brands and their predictions for the future of the industry. The panelists’ astute understanding of the industry will be invaluable for influencers looking to turn their following into a business.
Any clients of Slyletica are assured with the company’s quality and ethical codes of conduct being incredibly stringent. The design, production and marketing teams are based in-house in Melbourne. Meanwhile, their partner factories in China along with fabric suppliers in Singapore and Hong Kong are fully-vetted, with bi-annual third party audits to ensure every factory meets industry criteria for fair wages, fair hours, no discrimination, environmental compliant, risk assessment training, and no child labour, amongst other criteria. If a factory cannot provide acceptable audits, they are not even considered to join the Slyletica network.
Panel event tickets are available by invitation and limited passes through Eventbrite here. Tickets are $50.
