TRY: Hümbl Skincare
Complex and confusing skincare products should be a thing of the past and part of the reason Hümbl – the Australian, vegan, paraben free and cruelty-free sensitive skincare brand was born.
Hümbl founders Mandy Malinski and Lloyd Enbom had a dream to create a line that was inclusive and fun, allowing people everywhere to learn how to properly build a routine suitable to their skin type and reap the benefits.
The skincare pair kicked off their journey on the Gold Coast in late 2019 by selling everything they had, including Lloyd’s maintenance business and moving into a caravan. By reducing their overhead costs they were able to focus more on the brand. And just like that, Hümbl was launched within five months – and from humble beginnings, literally.
The backbone of this couple’s passion and drive for Hümbl? Their own skin experiences as young people.
Lloyd struggled with eczema, facial redness and flaky skin for a lot of his life and was advised to use products that caused eczema to return and a flare up.
Mandy battled severe acne growing up, trying every product available to combat her skin woes. She dealt with confidence issues as a teenager and young adult, reaching a point where she could barely make eye contact due to her complexion insecurities. But Mandy didn’t let her skin concerns get her down, as she took her pain and suffering and turned it into motivation, studying to become a qualified and successful beauty therapist. She not only wanted to learn more about her own skin, but also assist other young girls and women battling similar issues. She didn’t want anyone else to experience what she went through, eager to help in whatever way she could.
Both Mandy and Lloyd believe their skin issues as teenagers and young adults could have been prevented had there been adequate treatment and more information available.
Enter Hümbl. I’ve added the Sweet Dreams Hydrating Mask to my skincare repertoire and I’m loving it. It’s hydrating, it’s gentle, it’s easy to use. I love adding mine to freshly cleansed and mud masked skin, for an extra hydration boost.

VISIT: Going Bush? Then Don’t End Up Asking ‘Where The Bloody Hell Am I?’
As more Aussies plan to visit regional and remote Australia this year, homegrown outdoor safety and communication brand, GME, has repurposed the iconic “Where The Bloody Hell Are You” travel slogan as a “Where The Bloody Hell Am I” safety message.
With Australia’s Search and Rescue System returning an average of 2,000 lost adventurers per year, the “Where The Bloody Hell Am I?” campaign encourages those exploring the great outdoors – be it for camping, bushwalking or fishing – to avoid a potentially dire rescue situation by staying prepared and in touch with GME.
The campaign launches as new research polling 1,000+ Australians reveals the majority of Aussies would not choose the correct safety and communication equipment when going bush. Packing a mobile phone is the most popular safety equipment choice behind food and water supplies, with the vast majority (95%) of Aussies not realising that only a small fraction of Australia’s landmass (14%) is covered by mobile phone reception.
Former Australian of The Year, Lee Kernaghan, and I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here star Ryan Gallagher have united to show their support for the campaign in hope that Aussies will equip themselves with the right GME safety equipment before heading off on their next 4WD, camping or fishing trip.
