Life is full of fun stuff to do. We’re lucky to have a life of leisure pretty much mapped out for us on the weekends, and sometimes we even party on a school night… tsk tsk! Some of the awesome treats of life include visiting the zoo, swimming in the ocean, hanging out with friends, or having a party.
When you go to a party, it’s often one of the most enjoyable things you remember about that week or even that month, and you’ll talk about it and the events in the lead up and in the weeks after. Why? Because parties are awesome. Ok, ok, they are – but why are parties so awesome? Well, it’s basically because you’re spending time with the people that you love, and there’s usually food. Of course, the presence of food normally means a good time, and when there is a party involved it’s a double awesome time.
Food + people + music = party time, excellent.
For all you noobs out there, we’ve created a list on how you can hold the best party of all time. So listen up, would be party planners, let’s get started.
- Make sure that everyone has the date free for your party. You can get around this quite easily by sending out a ‘save the date’ invitation to people in the months or weeks prior to your party. By doing this simply task in advance, you can ensure that when your invitations go out you will get the full suite of people that you intend to have there.
- Consider involving a theme for your party. While it’s hands-down excellent to throw a standard party (and who doesn’t love a great party), the best parties that I’ve ever been to have had a theme of some sort. Also, encourage people to get into the swing of things by dressing up for the event! The theme of your party doesn’t have to stop with dressing up; you can theme things like the invitations, the food, the music, and even the venue! As an example, if you’re having a mediaeval-type party, why not look around to see if there are any historic sites in your local area to hold the party? This will add an extra element of enjoyment to your event.
- Get the invitations out nice and early. Make sure you put a little bit of extra effort into creating invitations, as it will make people realise that yours is a serious party to be reckoned with from the start. If you want some help, get some friends around and have a crafty afternoon where everyone has a chance to get involved in decorating the invitations. Play around with things like ribbon, fabrics and different types of paper and card, as these will all add an extra element of importance to the whole shemozzle. Make sure you use printing services Melbourne for that extra professional touch.
- Consider your invitations wisely and make sure your guest list is well thought out. You need to make sure that there is a good balance of fun people, and the kind of people who are really going to be respectful and have a good time. If you are throwing a house party, think about the fact that your friends may be bringing friends along, and make sure you cater accordingly.
- When it comes to the food and drinks, think about the kind of event you are throwing, the kinds of foods you like (and that your guests will like), and then work to a budget that you are happy with. If you try to make sure that all of your guests have plenty of food and drink (or at least drinks to buy and access to a well-stocked bar), you will find that you’re event is going to go off smoothly and without a hitch.
- Make sure that everyone has a safe way to get home after the party is over. By doing so, you will ensure that the enjoyment of the party carries on right until the end of the evening, and that you aren’t worried about any of your guests’ wellbeing the next day!
