Luxury wellness hub r.a.w. studios (ready & willing) is bringing the essence of LA to Melbourne CBD’s Little Collins Street as it opens a world class space to deliver training that goes beyond the studio.
r.a.w. studios have tapped into the trends from top LA functional movement, power yoga and barre body instructors to share their unique Californian take on ‘Mind. Body. Happy.’
Located below little Collins and Russell Street, r.a.w. studios is comprised of two state-of-the- art yoga, barre movement and mobility studios and a separate member’s lounge, ideal for relaxing after class with a book from the in-house library over a cold pressed juice or warm matcha tea.
r.a.w. is an acronym for ‘ready and willing’ and is unlike traditional yoga studios, gyms and fitness centers. For the body, it boasts a 360° multi-platform space giving members access to international health experts and master instructors trained in power yoga, dance, barre, martial arts and functional training. For the mind, there is meditation classes and workshops covering everything from nutrition and wellness to business, current affairs and philosophy.
The studio has partnered with local health-focused brands to offer an ever-changing array of membership exclusives. Fresh Japanese cuisine from a bespoke Izakaya Den hole in the wall, boutique beauty amenities from Organika Hair, exclusive range of Tully Lou active wear, custom designed Green Street Juice Co. cleanse programs, are just some of the exclusive extras available.
The r.a.w. studios kitchen is set to launch in August with its own organic ‘farm to studio’ menu allowing members to order nutritional meals packed with goodness for consumption following their workout.
Members also have access to the r.a.w studios educational workshops by international renowned nutritional and meditation experts.
Its modern design takes Melbourne’s laneway aesthetic to the underground and injects it with luxe interior features. High concrete ceilings, natural oak timber flooring and cracked rendered walls dressed by stained glass wall dividers and floating mirrors create the ideal space for working out.
The studio concept and design was developed by hotel development enterprise Like Minded Group (LMG) in collaboration with award-winning Melbourne designer Travis Walton Architecture and interior design and brand communications company 21-19.
Founder Sam Nivas says r.a.w. studios is set to transform the health and fitness landscape down under, introducing a health club where community and convenience is at the core of happy living.
“Nestled beneath the bustle of the city, r.a.w. studios makes it easy for Melburnians to stay fit and focused on their overall wellbeing. Every detail has been carefully considered so that members feel at peace in the midst of r.a.w. studios’ urban setting. We’ve even developed a signature scent, creating an additional sensory layer to the experience and overall feeling of tranquility.”
With only 500 spots available, r.a.w. studios is a modern-day members club that tailors sessions to suit the busy lifestyle of CBD workers and beyond, from energy-building morning classes, invigorating lunchtime movement classes to an evening of slow-flow yoga and meditation for unwinding.

r.a.w. studios will opened to the public on 11th July at 118 Russell Street, on the corner of Little Collins Street.
