With a plethora of inner city cafes to pick from, we often forget that there are some absolute gems in our very own neighbourhood. Forget queuing up on the cold Melbourne streets for your smashed avo, and head to RIDDIK in Templestowe, where the food arrives quicker than you can get a table at Top Paddock.
This chic cafe has just opened up in the middle of suburbia, and our brunch-loving selves couldn’t be happier. It’s got everything city cafes just don’t have…such as parking, a spacious venue and most notably, the insanely talented mural on the inside done by European street artist, Tarek.
Not into brunch? Not a problem! RIDDIK is open from 7am-11pm 7 days a week. Covering all meals of the day, so it can easily be your local Friday night cocktail spot or the perfect lazy Sunday lunch with the girls.
Once inside the cafe, you’re instantly transported to somewhere else. It feels as though you should be in an obscure laneway in the middle of the city that oozes cool. And not to mention the abundance of natural lighting that gives you the perfect foodie-Insta from wherever you’re sitting.
Regardless of what meal you’re after, the staff will make sure you’re looked after from the moment you enter. And the menu is so extensive you’ll find yourself struggling to pick just one meal. There’s 6 different version of the Eggs Benedict alone, so I suggest you go with a group – so you can try as many of the meals as possible!
Or can’t decide which meal you want to try? My suggestion would be to wear your comfiest pants and stay for all three – because when the food is this good it’s worth it. You know where I’ll be for the rest of the day…
