We’re thrilled to share two recipes from the Aboutlife Natural Marketplace menu. So, no matter where you are, you can bring a little bit of (about)life in your breakfast.
COCONUT QUINOA PORRIDGE
Serves 2
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup of quinoa
2 cups of water
1 cup of coconut milk
1 banana
½ cup of toasted walnuts
2 tbsp of agave stevia or coconut sugar
1 tbsp cinnamon
PREPARATION:
Cook quinoa in a pot of water for 10-15 minutes. Once the grain is cooked, add coconut milk and choice of your sweetener. Add ripe banana and stir until it is warmed through. Serve with a sprinkle of cinnamon and toasted walnuts to add some crunch.
RAW RASPBERRY CHIA JAM
Makes 500ml jar
INGREDIENTS:
½ cup of chia seeds
300g of frozen raspberries
1 tbsp of agave nectar
PREPARATION:
Defrost the raspberries. Meanwhile start preparing the thickening jelly by combining chia seeds, water and your choice of your sweetener. Let it sit for 15 minutes. Raspberries should be defrosted in this time. Place all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. The jam will keep in a glass jar for up to two weeks in the fridge.
