Treasury Gardens in Melbourne is set to come alive for one day only with all-things-dumplings for Chan’s Dumpling Festival on Sunday, 3 March 2013. To kick off the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival, guests will enjoy delicious Cantonese delicacies on communal dining tables set amongst vibrant entertainment.
Indulge in the rich heritage of traditional tea service whilst meandering through a five-course service of Cantonese yum cha delights. This record-breaking event fuses traditional Cantonese tradition with modern Melbourne, providing a beautiful park setting for the family to enjoy.
For over 30 years, Australian owned and family-owned business, Chan’s Yum Cha, has been creating handmade restaurant quality products for authentic eating experiences at home. For the first time ever, Chan’s is bringing its flavour to the streets of Melbourne to inspire and revitalise the city’s dumpling-dedicated.
Guest tickets include access to the traditional tea service, a take home steamer filled with inspiration for the home chef – dipping sauce, a recipe book and ingredients to create it from. Free live performances, a history of yum cha exhibition, lion dancing, dumpling making demonstrations and children’s activities will also be in full swing.
