Lord of the Fries is the purveyor of the best fries you will ever try, with a side of burgers, hot dogs and munch boxes that Australia finds itself craving weekly.
The idea was born from late night snack excursions in 2004 where founders, Mark and Mandy, met while living in Taiwan. Their love of fries (and each other) drew them closer while their conscience to help build a better world led them to look for alternative solutions to the chemical and beef-tallow-laden options on the market. With Mark’s brother Sam, a former animator, hopping on the bandwagon, Lord of the Fries, an ethical fast food business, was born.
Lord of the Fries first hit the streets as a food truck in 2004 (pre-hipster uprising) and continue to deliver the ultimate fries and sauces, along with award-winning burgers, hot dogs and sides through their nine bricks and mortar takeaway and sit-down stores across Melbourne and Sydney.
Based on their love of the mighty french fry, food made with love, not animals and a passion for the environment, the Lord’s offering is all-inclusive with a 100% vegetarian menu. Lord of the Fries source local where possible and the menu includes low gluten, Halal, Kosher and vegan fare that will satisfy even the most carnivorous of stomachs.
The Lord’s fries, including Classic, Chunky, Sweet Potato and Shoe String, are made with fresh potatoes sourced seasonally and fried in the best oil you can buy, free from chemicals, preservatives and animal products.
And boy they are good. Crispy, delicious and the sauces…oh, the sauces.
Some have called them ‘taste freedom fighters’; Lord of the Fries is on the frontline proving how delicious veggie food can be.
The Lord loves the people, the animals and the planet and regularly gives to like-minded charities and not-for-profits including Edgars Mission, Animals Australia and the Sea Shepherd.
With plans to expand with new openings in Perth and Parramatta this year, and launches slated for Queensland and Asia as well, the Lords are on a mission to help the world eat better and to introduce friends, local and abroad, to more sustainable food options.
This Wednesday is National Fry Day. To celebrate, Lord of the Fries will be giving away free fries for one hour to anyone craving some crispy, golden deliciousness.
