Australia’s craft spirits community is raising their glasses while raising funds for their neighbours across the country who have been plagued by bushfires and drought.
A very special event, The Aussie Spirit Auction Gala, is happening at the end of the month in Darling Harbour, Sydney. Dockside Group has kindly donated a venue and catering, meaning 100% of ticket sales will go to the chosen charity Rural Aid.
Tickets are fantastic value and include a 3 course dinner, beverages (including craft spirits in addition to beer and wine), the chance to meet the makers behind your favourite spirits labels, a boozy art and barrel exhibition, entertainment and – mostly importantly – the opportunity to bid on the Auction’s 12 best items. They’ll even have premium spirits tastings from bushfire affected distilleries.

Can’t make it? All good!
There’s an online auction too! Over 100 distilleries have donated 200+ bottles of whisky, gin, rum, moonshine, vodka, liqueurs, experiences and more. Many items are unique, limited-edition, rare or even unobtainable.

Big names like Four Pillars, Archie Rose, Young Henry’s, Iniquity (Tin Shed Distilling Company), Brookie’s Gin (Cape Byron Distillery), Manly Spirits Co. and Never Never Distilling Co. are on board. Organisers are even creating an entirely new whisky for the cause with “the godfather of Australian whisky” Bill Lark! The online auction can be found here and ends at 10pm, 28 February.
100% of funds raised from both the auction and from event ticket sales will go to Rural Aid.
