This month’s agenda is about to get a whole lot fizzier in approximately one prosecco-nd.
Australia’s first local and international Prosecco Festival is coming to Melbourne on February 25. Pop that cork, this is not a drill.
Cargo Hall in South Wharf is set to morph into a Prosecco paradiso in two four hour sessions, both as boozy as each other. Peruse, imbibe and get those sommelier skills refined with the growers behind the grog.
The great pillars of a Prosecco festival? Wines by the glass, cheese and caviar assortments ranked at Parisian-level standards of delicieux, and a line-up of the most tasty wine exhibitors out. We’re talking Box Grove Vineyard, Festival City Wines, Italian Wine Connection, Politini Wines, Regina Vino, Sam Miranda, SANTA & D’SAS, Symphonia Fine Wines, Vinea Marson, Vino Bambino, Vinomofo and Wines of the King Valley – just to name a few. If you make it through all of these guys and proceed to walk in a linear fashion, we will vehemently applaud you.
Don’t dawdle, 18+ prosecco snobs. This is your call to action. Tickets are $50 and available right here. It’s time to round-up your ultimate WD (wining and dining) squad and trial what the Prosecco gods have on offer.
The first session will be held from 11am – 3pm (early-ish birds, where you at?) and the second from 4pm – 8pm. Every ticket comes complete with a genuine crystal Plumm teardrop tasting glass (oh la la), as well as a goodie bag. Who can say no to a goodie bag?
