Australia’s biggest wine festival is back from Friday 10th to Sunday 12th of November with a new addition to the line-up – debuting at Wine Island for the first time in 2017, Cracka Wines are readying a cellar door-meets-day spa experience for festival goers.
A far cry from mosh-pit music festivals, guests at Cracka Wines’ Club House at Wine Island will be encouraged to relax in style, being waited on hand and foot with day beds and an earthy selection of organic and biodynamic wines.
“We’re thrilled to be a part of this unique event, which provides guests the opportunity to indulge in a truly unique wine and food experience against the picturesque backdrop of Sydney Harbour,” says Founder and CEO of Cracka Wines, Dean Taylor.
“From day one, we’ve set out to take our customers on a journey through the world of wine, introducing them to brands, labels and varieties that can’t be found at their local bottle store. Wine Island offers a very similar experience, so it made perfect sense to get involved.”
“True to our brand we’re keeping it real providing guests a down-to-earth experience, where they can explore how different soil types change the flavour profiles of wine.”
The online wine platform which launched in 2010, allows Australian wineries to save profit margins by selling directly to consumers rather than through supermarket-owned bottle shops. It is through this model that Cracka Wines have saved several small wineries from going under, while at the same time offering customers more bang for their buck.
The ‘Club House’ at Wine Island will offer a glimpse of things to come, as the pure-play online retailer reveals plans to roll out clicks’n’mortar presence both here and in ASIA. Turning the traditional bottle shop model on it’s head, Cracka Wines plan to offer a cellar door like experience where consumers can discover hundreds of small, boutique and emerging wineries from the comfort of their own city.
Obviously leaving at the end of the day will be hard, so to take the experience home with them, Cracka will be giving Club House guests their very own vine cutting to take away and plant happy memories until next years’ event rolls around.
