Situated at 129 Fitzroy Street St Kilda, Mockingbird is tucked within the marbled entrance of historic building, The George and indeed, it is a step back to 1920’s Paris with moody velvet curtains, trompe l’oeil walls, romantic soft lighting, wrought iron detailing and a big bay window to spy on the passing foot traffic.
George Lentzos, owner of Mockingbird, has kindly agreed to share a series of cocktail recipes for Onya Magazine readers. The first in the series is the Pimms Mockingbird Punch, designed especially for the upcoming Spring Racing Carnival.
MOCKINGBIRD COCKTAIL
Pimms Mockingbird Punch (PMP)
Ingredients:
Gin
Pimms
Fresh mint
Raspberries
Cucumber
Lemon
Lime
Orange
Falurnum
Lemonade
Method:
Allow the Pimms No.1 to flow into a jug filled with ice, then garnish with loads of fresh mint, raspberries, cucumber, lemon, lime and orange.
We add a hint of our very own house made Falernum, a sweet spiced syrup which originates from Barbados.
Finally top with lemonade.
The most amazingly refreshing punch drink which will be the talk around town for a very long time.
