I’m terrible at making predictions. Accurate ones, I mean. I never win at the races, my soft-boiled eggs always come out aggressively hard-boiled, I always end up needing at least fifteen minutes more than I’ve allowed myself when getting ready, and although I’ve never tried my hand at fortune-telling, I can’t imagine the consultation would last more than thirty seconds (of awkward hand patting).
However, despite my always being wrong, I’ve boldly made yet another prediction. And this time I’m sure I’m going to be right. I’m going to share it with you, too, because in the (I feel, highly likely) event of me being proven right, I’m going to want to say ‘I told you so’.
I predict that The Emerson’s Disaronno Terrace is going to be the ultimate place to be in Melbourne this summer.
But first, let me tell you why.
Celebrating their famous amaretto liqueur, Italian brand Disaronno set out on a world-wide pop-up-bar-slash-party and— finally here in Melbourne after months of gallivanting around Europe— I can tell you it’s a party you really want to be invited to.
The Disaronno Terrace bursts with vibrancy, excitement and an unmistakable, uniquely Melbourne vibe. Held at The Emerson’s breathtaking rooftop bar, Disaronno brings together Italian canapés, delicious amaretto cocktails, live music from some of Melbourne’s best musos and DJs, and some absolutely killer views (especially if you love a good sunset).
The Disaronno cocktails themselves—the focal point of the evening—are exquisite. Combining the punchy zest of lemon and lime with frothy egg whites and cherry, this heavenly drink is, I feel, perfect for warm summer nights and goes down an absolute treat. Having never tried amaretto before, I left the event delighted and wholly converted. And maybe a little bit tipsy.
The pop-up party will be appearing at another venue – dates and times TBC. Follow us here or here and we’ll keep you posted.
