BOOK LAUNCH:  Christina Shares Her Gut-Wrenching Life Journey, Hardships And Learnings In Her New Book Entitled ‘The Glass Angel’.

From co-dependent to Ninja Barbie – how Christina Foxwell overcame abuse and hardship to become a successful business owner and leading Aussie entrepreneur.

Christina Foxwell is one of Australia’s most successful life and business coaches, but she has led a life that no one should ever have to live.   In October this year, Christina launched her latest book, ‘The Glass Angel’ which covers her life and the hardships she endured as a child and young adult.   In true Christina Foxwell style, the book also encourages others to overcome challenges, believe in themselves and pursue happiness and success.

As a child, she was sexually abused by a family member, though the case was hushed over. As a young adult and young mother, she suffered through rejection, racism, domestic violence and domestic abuse and infidelity. Absolutely the underdog, Christina has risen above all the odds and is the founder of highly successful company, Ignite Purpose, a personal and business coaching and management company that assists people to achieve success and happiness.

“I live in Sydney now, but I am originally from South Africa. My father was a Pentecostal minister and I think it should have been a straightforward life for me to join the ministry and grow that way. But life has a way of getting to you, and it really got me,” Ms Foxwell said.

According to Foxwell, while she has written a number of other books, her latest book has taken years to bring to fruition and an inner courage that motivated her to share her life journey in order to help others.

Already reviewers are calling the book gut-wrenching, inspiring and remarkable, and a piece of work that is impossible to put down until the last page is turned.  From the depths of despair, Foxwell has managed to find a way to see the positive in life and carve out a pathway forward of opportunities, growth, happiness and acceptance.

New book, The Glass Angel

“In The Glass Angel, I write about an angel made of glass falling and breaking. It’s a metaphor for my life. I have lived through domestic abuse and violence. Gaslighting in relationships takes the shape of manipulative abusive tactics and really undermines your ability to form your own reality,” Foxwell said.

“I’ve dealt with abuse, divorce and being a single mother. The Glass Angel is really about how to find the strength in you to survive and heal, because it is possible. Forgiveness is a big part of moving forward because you need to understand that it wasn’t your fault.”

Written in three distinct parts, The Glass Angel is part story, part biography and part workbook. The first part of the book opens with a story of a glass angel falling and shattering and acts as a metaphor for her life. Though broken, the angel journeys forward and finds the path to healing.

In the second part Christina leads the reader through her life. Surviving abuse, rejection, domestic violence and adultery, Christina discovers that the seemingly endless cycle of abuse can be stopped.

In the final part of the book, Christina helps readers to free themselves of their personal shackles. Providing ample space for readers to write their reflections, this workbook section of the book acts as a journal of self-reflection and healing.

“I would like my readers to go on a journey with me. I’ve given them space to write their thoughts and reflections, their ideas and their feelings,” Foxwell added.

“Life is incredibly complex and you need to take the time to think and reflect. Writing things down can give you the clarity and direction that you need. In my book, I talk about darkness and light, or moths and butterflies.  If you change your perspective, you can change your life.

“Through my journey, I explain to readers how you can make this possible.  It requires looking at things with a different perspective and understanding that you can make anything possible if you believe in yourself.  But you need the tools to do this too, and I assist with this process also.”

Channelling purpose and passion through work

Through her company, Ignite Purpose, Christina has channelled her passion for working with people to help them challenge the status quo. Through her training partnerships, she works with clients and teams of people and helps them to build both life and professional skills. She encourages leaders to unlock the potential in people by finding opportunities, solutions and strategies.
