Today, Onya celebrates a new section – Food & Drink – on what is officially our six month anniversary of being a real, live publication.
Food & Drink is a place where you’ll find recipes for Australian traditional and modern dishes, plus random things too. It’s a place where you’ll read restaurant and bar reviews. Oh yes you will.
It’s also a place where you can hopefully learn more about something so good and important; food.
This year, a television series hit our screens, and it was unlike anything we’d ever witnessed before. It was a reality TV show, but with food. It was mouth-watering, lick-your-TV-screen inducing viewing. It was MasterChef Australia.
I’m happy to report that today, MasterChef Australia: The Cookbook is released. But I’m happier to report that I have two copies to giveaway.
The book includes all your favourite dishes; Poh’s Buddhas delight, Adriano Zumbo’s croquembouche, Julie’s steak with tarragon salt, Lucas’ Singapore chilli mud crab, Matt Moran’s chocolate tart and many, many more. What I love most about the book is the tips and tricks included within it. Things like how to cut vegetables in certain ways, how to make a sausage or honing your knife skills. Half of producing a good dish lies in executing the right method and method has certainly not been excluded in the cookbook.
So, to get your hands on a copy of MasterChef Australia: The Cookbook (RRP $39.95, Random House Australia), we want you to induce a little lick-our-computer-screen-behaviour at Onya HQ.
