Continuing with our bridal beauty special, part three focuses on Australian made and owned body products that will help to exfoliate, hydrate and enhance your skin.
Again, we will venture into Miss Sandi’s bathroom cabinets to see what she is using to prepare for her big day in May…don’t you worry, she doesn’t mind – honest and for true. In fact, I think she quite likes all the fuss and attention, something she will need to get used to with all the lights, camera, action that is coming her way.
Mor Marshmallow Body Cream
This is the luxe MOR body cream Miss Sandi will be using on her wedding day. It’s an intensive body moisturiser designed to calm and hydrate the skin, whilst lingering with the delicate and enchanting scent of marshmallow. And the perfume in the range has been Miss Sandi’s favourite for a few years now.
NAT. Body Sea Salt Smoother
The key ingredients of the NAT body range are essential oils that help to promote relaxation of the mind, body and soul. The range has not only been designed to nourish the skin, but also to relax the body, which assists in the regeneration of skin cells.
Miss Sandi said the Nat Body Scrub left her skin incredibly soft and smooth, and she found it particularly great for her hands, elbows and feet. It’s definitely a more intensive scrub, and she would recommend that it only be used once a week.
Perfect Potion Relax Body Lotion
Miss Sandi reports that the geranium, lavender and ylang ylang pure essential oils make this Perfect Potion moisturiser smell utterly divine. Not only is the smell heavenly, the essential oils will have a therapeutic effect that will help to reduce your stress levels as you approach your wedding.
Harmonising, balancing and comforting, geranium oil is especially beneficial during times of stress, and helps to relieve mild anxiety.
Calming, healing and relaxing, lavender oil will assist in the relief of insomnia, nervous tension, stress, irritability and mild anxiety.
Euphoric, sensuous and uplifting, ylang ylang also helps to relieve nervous tension, unrest, stress, irritability and mild anxiety.
Bush Essentials
Miss Sandi wasn’t taken by the packaging of Bush Essentials, and I must confess I nearly didn’t pass them onto her to review – but luckily I didn’t judge a book by its cover, because they were her hands down favourite.
The Body Scrub is made entirely of natural ingredients – sea salt, macadamia oil, and a series of essential oils. Gentle enough to use everyday, yet it deeply exfoliated her skin and kept it hydrated for the entire day. In fact, it‘s her new favourite body scrub.
When she uses a body moisturiser, she wants it to absorb, without requiring too much rubbing or drying time. The Bush Essentials Moisturiser is fast absorbing and leaves a light yet super sexy sheen on the skin.
The Body Oil is incredible for dry areas, and after using it every night, her skin is much more hydrated and very silky.
Miss Sandi likes the pump design of the Body Wash, because it is ideal for the shower. More than that, she thinks it’s super cleansing and smells amazing.
Naked Tan
Being a tough crowd when it comes to a spray tan, it takes a lot for me to give my tick of approval to a brand. Naked Tan promised to be natural and non streaky, and I can confirm it delivered on its promise.
The secret to all natural looking tans is a formula that uses a green base. Naked Tan also uses a special spray pump that ensures an even and non-patchy application.
The tan dried within a couple of hours to a bronzed colour with golden highlights, and was a shade that wasn’t too stark from my natural colour. It took the edge off my lily white skin, without looking like I was the daughter of George Hamilton.
Completely botanical based, the tan smells very pleasant (you hardly want to walk down the aisle and scare off the groom before you reach the alter), and the moisturising cream smelt like summer holidays – I even had someone approach me in the lobby of the hotel I was staying at to ask what scent I was wearing because it smelt so lovely.
Naked Tan can be applied within a salon, or even better they can visit you at your home, as they bring their own mobile tent.
Follow Here Comes The Bride next fortnight, as Miss Sandi selects the colours for her manicure and pedicure, and gets her hands and feet into pristine condition. To catch up on previous features visit Part 1 – Face and Part 2 – Hair.
