A’kin Express Purifying Facial Masque
As far as clay masques go, this one is of a thinner texture, yet interestingly takes a while to dry. It is, however, a soothing purifying masque, thanks to the presence of witch hazel (which, by itself, works well as a toner). With Kaolin clay and activated carbon, the masque is supposed to work quite quickly, despite taking a while to dry. Lemongrass and Cedarwood stimulate and the overall effect is actually quite gentle, which is a pleasant change from the more stringent clay masques out there. My skin certainly looked and felt cleaner post-use, without the accompanying feeling of tightness.
A’kin Instant Radiance Facial Masque
Another gentle, smooth masque, although I did feel this one working a little more than the purifying masque – which could just mean the active ingredients in this masque reacted differently with my skin. Willow Bark and multi-fruit AHA do the muscle work in this masque, with pomegranate and rosehip there to smooth and nourish. Vitamin B3 and hyaluronic acid pop in to help skin tone and elasticity. A lovely masque to follow up a deep cleanse with.
Al’chemy Lavender & Anthyllis 24 Hour Intensive Moisture Leave-In Conditioner
I do enjoy good leave-in treatments; they save so much time when one’s hair is as … abundant … as my own. A quality leave-in won’t leave a residue, or make hair go rapidly greasy after washing. It is absorbed quickly and leaves hair soft, not oily (just like the peanut butter ad, never oily, never dry). Thankfully, this is precisely what Al’chemy’s treatment achieves, thanks to the perfect balance between nourishing oils (avocado and jojoba) and the other delightful elements – vitamins, amino acids and herbal extracts.
