With new ‘wonder prods’ being launched every other day, it’s easy to become not only exhausted but skeptical of the many things us women are told that we need, if we’re to have ‘this’, look like ‘that’, or eliminate ‘them’. Trust me, as Beauty Editor I receive mountains of emails each week announcing the latest and greatest, and it’s enough to make your head swirl.
After telling a few friends about clarifying shampoos, I was met with scoffs; ‘What do you mean a shampoo that cleans better than other shampoos? What a load of!’ they exclaimed.
While clarifying shampoos are not exactly new on the beauty scene, the recent interest in ‘detoxing’ yourself has also spread to your roots – hair, that is. Used every few weeks, or when you feel that your hair isn’t responding to heat treatment or product like it normally does, a clarifying shampoo can really make a difference in giving your hair a ‘fresh start’.
