Glamourflage Cosmetics has opened up its first Australian flagship store, nestled amongst some of our favourite shopping pit stops. With a vow to have ‘serious fun’ and create ‘serious skincare’, Glamourflage had us at hello. We’re catching the early train from now on to allow for a strong cappuccino and a good swatching session.
The glossy, new store is home to a plethora of fruity concoctions and dinky compacts to test-drive in your morning beauty routine. If the pin-up inspired packaging didn’t have us already loading up our baskets, Glamourflage’s ‘beauty without cruelty’ philosophy heard the wedding bells ringing. No animal testing, no nasty secrets. We are IN.
We’re all about homegrown, Melbourne-bred beauty, and Glamourflage makes all of its concoctions right here. This means we can hijack the factory and see how many serums one can fit in a handbag! This means we should show a whole lot of support for one legend of a local brand.
Each line of Glamourflage makeup and skincare is a kitsch nod to an empowering archetype of the 1940’s woman. She is flirty, fun and has all of the secrets to good-looking skin. We kind of want to take her out for Friday night drinks in Fitzroy. She told me that my pores were in need of some TLC and I was one chocolate binge away from a volcanic breakout. The honey sheet mask and tea tree cleanser are now at my rescue and I’m ready for my close-up.
