askbella uses a skin quiz and AI technology, the Beauty Bot, to analyse and match an individual’s skin to a range of products with the best ingredients for its unique needs.
The Beauty Bot provides users with a free, detailed skin analysis, and recommends a tailored skincare routine, offering individuals the option to purchase a step-by-step beauty routine, or individual products with ingredients that will benefit their skin.
askbella Founder, Elaine Yang, says the platform will take away the stress of choosing from thousands of products online.
“We’ve created askbella to make selecting products easier. By doing a skin analysis for our customers, they’ll be shown the right products for their unique needs the first time, instead of being presented with a huge range and trialing a number of different products until they find something that works,” commented Ms Yang.
Research conducted by askbella found that more than half (57%) of Australian beauty shoppers like being left alone when shopping in-store, and over one third (36%) would use a virtual assistant to help them select new products.
The platform was created in response to the need for an accessible, informative and streamlined online skincare guide.
“We know that beauty shoppers prefer to be left to their own devices when they are researching products and making a purchase, but they often make purchases based on popularity, without understanding the effects of the ingredients,” said Ms Yang.
