You don’t need us to tell you to visit California. The Golden State made almost $145 billion in travel-related spending in 2019, as people flock to the West Coast from both inside and outside the US.
However, while you’re in California, you might want to treat vein issues or vein pain. Whether you suffer from spider veins, varicose veins, or another condition, you can enjoy everything the state has to offer while getting your new healthy legs too!
If you’re interested, keep reading on as we explain how to treat your vein issues in the state of California!
Why California?
For the sun, sea, and all the sights you can dream of, it’s difficult to look past California. From cities to theme parks and, of course, plenty of nature, you can do almost anything in the Golden State.
Many vein treatments are fairly minor, meaning that you can return to normal life after the procedure, and they don’t usually take a long time either. Where better to recuperate than California, where you can enjoy the sun and the cities between treatments?
Treating Vein Issues
There are various ways to treat vein issues. For mild spider vein symptoms, compression stockings can be used along with other home techniques. However, should these not work or if you still have vein pain, other treatments may be the way to go.
There are various types of surgery available, depending on the exact condition as there are stages of varicose veins, but types of surgery can include sclerotherapy, endovenous laser treatment, ambulatory phlebectomy, and surgical litigation—we’ll go into more detail on the first two below.
Varicose Veins and Spider Veins – What’s the Difference?
You might know how to differentiate between the two. They’re definitely similar, but there are differences too!
Varicose veins are twisted and can be blue, red, or the color of your skin. Often, they can look like rope and bulge out. They can be found on thighs, calves, and the inside of legs and can appear elsewhere in pregnancy too.
In comparison, spider veins are a little smaller and, although visible, don’t tend to make the skin bulge out like varicose veins. They’re most often red and look like spider webs or the branches of a tree.
Both can be treated at Beach Cities Vein and Laser Center, using techniques like the ones we expand on below.
Sclerotherapy
This is a common treatment for spider veins. Medication will be injected into the veins, and this causes the veins to close, re-routing blood healthy veins.
It can take from around 15 to 45 minutes, and afterward, you can wear compression stockings and get back to normal life.
Endovenous Laser Treatment
This is another minor treatment, but it focuses on varicose veins instead. It takes less than an hour to complete, and you can get back to normal straight away.
Using ultrasound, fiber will be inserted into the vein. This will deliver energy to the vein, causing it to close, before a dressing is then applied.
Your Healthy Legs
Varicose veins and spider veins can be annoying to deal with—nobody likes to have vein issues, but as you can see, it’s easy to get treatment. Why not come to California and see for yourself just how quick and simple the treatment is?
