On Friday July 17, schools and businesses all over Australia will swap their school uniform for their warm, cosy pyjamas to help raise awareness and funds for children in foster care…will you join them too?
Registrations are now open for schools and businesses wanting to take part.
There are approximately 43,000 children in foster care and statistics show that on average, 75% of these children will not complete their schooling.
The Pyjama Foundation aims to help close this cycle of disadvantage through our Love of Learning Program. The Program sees ‘Pyjama Angels’, a dedicated team of trained volunteers, spend one-on-one time with foster children to help them with school work, encourage their passions and guide them to reach their potential.
All money raised from Pyjama Day will go towards putting more volunteers through training. The Pyjama Foundation trains, screens and recruit volunteers before matching them with a foster child.
