Former AFL great Jeff White has launched a Kickstarter campaign for his world-first invention, Post High.
Holidaying with his family in 2015 triggered a light-bulb moment for Jeff: “We were kicking the footy, using trees as goal posts, something I used to do when I was younger, and as the light started to fade my son Kalani said, ‘Dad, I wish we had these trees at home because they’d make the perfect posts.'”
Jeff immediately started researching and discovered there were no kid-friendly, mobile posts on the market. So he designed them.
Introducing Post High; a retractable set of goal posts that can be set up anywhere, anytime. Post High packs away neatly into its own backpack and is light enough for children to carry, as well as being easy enough for them to assemble.
Every consideration has been addressed in the planning of Post High, something Jeff has been researching for almost a year. “The mats are weighted, to counteract wind and ball impact, and the posts light up when the sun goes away, so kids can continue to line up their dreams, no matter the time of day.”
Post High is gaining traction from the public already, with a growing social media presence, and even keen interest and support from AFL stars, including Gary Ablett Jnr: “I love Post High. It’s such a simple idea. I wish I had this when I was a kid,” says Gary.
Post High is safe, mobile, enjoyable, and an absolute game-changer for young AFL fans. “I just really want the campaign to spread and show parents that now there is an alternative. Kids have a footy or two at home, but no goal posts. And there are two things involved in footy; a football and goal posts. Why is it that for as long as the game has been around, kids haven’t been able to have the two? Well now they can.”
