Entrepreneurs Week is upon us again and the excitement is building since word broke that the founder of Magnation, Sahil Merchant, and Kathy Alexander, City of Melbourne CEO, would be cordially opening the event. Since the great success E-Week 2009, where over 1000 students attended, Student Entrepreneurs | Agents of Change have been turning a lot of heads with E-Week 2010 getting accolades from businesses, entrepreneurs and even the Federal Minister of Innovation and the University of Melbourne’s Provost.
Entrepreneurs Week 2010 will showcase a hit list of business moguls, successful entrepreneurs, as well as up and coming entrepreneurs who will share their stories and secrets of success. E-Week 2010 will give students an opportunity to gain the right skills, meet the right people and build their confidence to just get out there and start to live their own dream.
The week kicks off at the Opening Ceremony where the Innovator’s Challenge will be launched. In this challenge, competitors will be given a regular, everyday object which they need to add value in terms of economic, social or aesthetical terms.
Date: Friday 6 August
Time: 3.00pm to 5.00pm, followed by food & refreshments and networking opportunities.
Where: Elisabeth Murdoch Theatre A, Elisabeth Murdoch Building, University of Melbourne
At E-Week’s Closing Ceremony competitors will submit a short video of their ideas and efforts for a chance to win one of many great prizes worth over $4000.
