A little Bindle package of joy
With the latest achievement by Bindle being nominated for the 2015 Telstra Business Awards, it’s only natural that we wanted to talk to Catherine, the woman behind the brand. Bindle provides gift hampers made from boutique Australian made food, wine and design gift items.
Bindle was born in 2012 from Catherine’s personal experience of not being able to find the “right” gift for family, work colleagues, friends and clients.
Bindle, like Onya Magazine, is passionate about supporting local businesses and every part of the creation is Australian – the boxes, the products, the hand that wraps them. Since its inception in 2012, Bindle has blossomed from a “corner in the room” hobby to a warehouse operation. Catherine has remained faithful to her network of local producers, and customers everywhere are delighted at the concept, convenience and quality of this unique gift service.
The Bindle brand has always been conscious of dietary requirements and it acknowledges there is an increasing demand on this now due to health and lifestyle choices. Bindle has a range of products on offer and can tailor bespoke gluten free options on request.
The Experience
Bindle gift boxes are exceptionally wonderful to open. Every gift is individually made, layered carefully and creatively, and filled with locally made delights. The unique wrapping is reminiscent of Japanese origami with only folding and tying involved. The brown tones of the packaging bring us back to the earth that sustains us. The bronze embossed Bindle logo every bit as slick and sophisticated as the exquisitely packaged contents. Blending sustainability with style, there is a serious philosophy behind our beautiful Bindle gifts.
“I love watching the organic referral process when someone receives a Bindle, then sends a Bindle gift to someone they know. It reassures me that the Bindle experience leaves a lasting impression.”
The accelerated growth has come as a surprise to Catherine which is not an uncommon reaction to rapid small business growth. The future holds aspiration to grow the Bindle brand, with the anticipation to introduce many more fabulous Australian products.
The Telstra Business Awards have already been decided by the judges so we have our fingers crossed for Bindle. Catherine is grateful that she has had the opportunity to be a part of the awards and is thankful to everyone that shares the Bindle love. Catherine is also available for speaking gigs and believes it an honour to be asked to be a part of events.
