A popular place to visit in recent years is Mauritius and with good reason as it’s incredibly beautiful and a safe place for tourists. Today we’ll try to help you pick a good resort for your stay, it isn’t always easy to choose given how many options there are so we’ll try to narrow it down for you at least a little bit.
Grand Bay
A very cute village that has lots of different hotels which gives it great capacity for tourists. It’s one of the most popular locations for people visiting Mauritius for the first time, so if that’s you then it has our seal of approval. If you’re worried about the location then you shouldn’t be since not only is it located at a gorgeous beach but it’s also only around a half hour drive from the capital so if you wish to visit it you’re not that far.
The locals and staff here are incredibly friendly and meeting them is certainly a big part of the draw. It’s obvious to see that the place was tailor-made for tourism and that they’re doing their best to make the experience perfect for everyone visiting. It’s really hard to find a flaw with this place and the only reason we’d see you going somewhere else is if all the hotels are filled and you have to choose a different part of Mauritius for your resort, if that’s not the case then Grand Bay all the way.
Trou Aux Biches
A very calm village located on a part of the island that has an incredible vibe that’s hard to accurately describe, this place is next in line to be visited after our previous entry and it’s generally viewed as the perfect getaway for newlyweds. If you’re looking for a nice place to go with your significant other after your big day then this is one of the most popular places on Earth and certainly the best one located in Mauritius.
It’s with good reason that so many couples like to visit this place, it’s calm with beautiful beaches and gorgeous views, but it also has a lot of fun activities nearby, isn’t that far from the capital and has become tailor-made for those who are in love and traveling together. It’s really hard to beat this if you’re looking for a honeymoon location and once again the only reason we’d see not to go there, in that case, is if the hotels were full.
Blue Bay
There are a lot of good things about Blue Bay so let’s cover all of them. First of all, if you enjoy swimming and especially snorkeling or diving then this place is incredible. The marine life is very well preserved so if you do decide to dive down into the waters you’ll have lots of beautiful things to see, from corals to fish and everything in between. If you aren’t good at any of those activities then you can still experience marine life with boat tours that allow you to see everything due to the very clear waters.
It’s also very close to the airport so you won’t have to travel far once you’ve landed and can get settled nice and quick once you’ve gotten to the island, leaving more time for rest, exploration, and in general enjoyment. Just because it’s close to the airport don’t think that the beaches aren’t incredible because they’re still marvelous and worth visiting even if you’re staying somewhere else.
