But for those of you who are very much in the “every-day wear” category, this one is for you. Especially if you’re a fan of Nars foundation products.
We’ve tried several different medium coverage foundations recently which includes everything from matte to radiant finishes, and everything in between. The good news is that we’re going to go through the pros and cons of each of these in this blog. Whenever we chat about all thing’s makeup foundation, we get questions about how to pick the right colour. We get it – it can be tricky!
If you want to do it yourself, we recommend going into a beauty store and applying a swipe of your preferred foundation along your jawline.
We suggest looking for something that blends in as best as possible.
In terms of medium coverage foundations, we would recommend the following:
Nars Sheer Glow Foundation
Finally, a Nars foundation that we can all love. Not that we don’t love Nars mind you. Of course, we do! This is a foundation we’ve been using for years and we absolutely love the finish of it. Also, it’s fairly easy to use if you’re wanting to eventually build up to fuller coverage.
Now, if you want light coverage, apply it with your fingers. Looking for that more full coverage looks? Apply it with a foundation blush. It won’t settle into lines, it looks radiant and natural on the skin, and would be our top choice of foundation if we had to choose one to use for the rest of our lives.
We can’t help absolutely loving this Nars foundation product purely for its ease of use and the end result you get.
Dior Forever Skin Glow 24hr Wear Radiant Perfection Skin-Caring Foundation
This is a relatively newish product and we love it. It’s radiant. It’s natural. It offers a skin-like finish. What’s not to love?! It does wear like a true medium coverage foundation but could just as easily be built up to create a fuller coverage. It will also allow those freckles to shine through and last all day for those all-important photography shoots or events that you need to attend.
Urban Decay Stay Naked Weightless Liquid Foundation
This is such an amazing option for a matte finish. We’re that excited to talk about this foundation.
It’s absolutely perfect for a medium coverage foundation, and the matte element of the finish means that it’ll last all day looking just as stunning as it did when you first applied it. Combine this with some of Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder and it’ll create a really amazing look on your skin much like the previously mentioned Nars foundation.
Anastasia Luminous Foundation
This is a really nice foundation and one that we reckon is slightly underrated in a lot of circumstances. It’s very much on the lighter end of a medium coverage foundation and looks luminous on the skin. If you’re someone who really loves to glow, then this one’s for you. Go forth and glow!
Bobbi Brown Skin Longwear Weightless Foundation
Not the best of the medium coverage foundations we’ve featured in this blog, but certainly not the worst on the market today. Unfortunately, to get the best results, you may need to apply quite a bit to get the desired effect to get any decent coverage.
And for some, that might not be suitable, which is totally fine. It’s probably better suited to a sheer foundation but not for those of you who are looking for that all-important medium coverage.
