Fashion is something that each of us deals with every single day. Even people who say that they don’t care about their clothes every morning say a lot about them, their mood, and how they feel that exact day.
One sure thing in the fashion world is change. We are repeatedly being attacked with new fashion ideas from music, videos, magazines, and video. Movies also have a massive effect on what people wear. Ray-Ban sold more different sunglasses after the movie Men In Black. Trend is not always world-wide. Back in the 1950s, teenagers universally dressed like Elvis Presley.
Who dictates fashion?
Musicians and other cultural figures have always inspired what we’re wearing, but so have federal figures and royalty. Newspapers and reviews report on what Hillary Clinton wears. Diana’s death, the Princess of Wales, was a hard blow to the high fashion world, where her clothes were the daily news.
Even our folks in the 1700s pored over fashion publications to see the most modern styles. Women and designers outside the French court relied on pictures to see what was going on in the world of fashion. The French King Louis XIV said that fashion is like a mirror. Louis himself was recognized for his style, which tended towards velvets and elegant laces.
Clothes separate people into groups.
Fashion is exhibiting. Clothes reveal what groups people are in. In high school, groups have names: “goths, preps, skaters, herbs.” Styles show who you are precisely, but they also create averages and gaps between groups. For instance, a business person might look at a boy with green hair and various piercings as a freak and an outsider. But to someone else, the boy is a severe traditionalist. He dresses a sure way to deliver the message of separation and rebellion, but the look is uniform within that group. Acceptance or denial of a style is a response to the society we live in.
Fashion is an endless popularity contest.
High fashion is a small group of men and women with a unique taste and authority in the fashion world. People of money and position, buyers for major department stores, editors, and authors for fashion magazines are all part of Haute Couture. Some of these rich and often creative fashions may triumph and become the fashion for the more significant majority. Most stay on the runway.
Popular fashions are close to difficult to trace. No one can tell how teenagers wore short skirts and shoes in England in 1950 made it to Paris’s famous runways or how hip-hop made it from the Bronx’s street styles to the Haute fashion shows of Milan London.
Why is it important?
Fashion is a means of self-expression that enables people to try on many different roles in life. For instance, brands like QUAINT are considered to be accessible to everyone, regardless of age, gender and taste. Whether you prefer hip-hop or Chanel-chic, style provides the chameleon in all of us. It’s a way of honoring the variety and variety of the world in which we live. Fashion is about change, which is essential to keep life exciting. It’s also a mirror of sorts in society. It’s a way of holding a mood that can be helpful in many aspects, culturally, psychologically, socially. In the meantime, fashion should not be taken too severely, or you lose its fun.
How do you choose what to wear?
It depends on my day, mood, and of course, what’s clean. If I have an urgent meeting or presentation, I put more thought into what I will wear. But on most days, I dress to my mood, which can range from earthy to retro to classic. There are days when my laundry basket tells me what I ultimately need to wear.
