6 Things That Should Always Be In Your Handbag

It’s time to get out again, whether that be your daily allotted exercise or getting back to work, the gym, or that coffee shop on the corner where you definitely DO do the work that your boss pays you for.

Leaving the house means taking your handbag with you, but what should every woman be carrying in her handbag, especially in these new crazy times we find ourselves in?

Here are six things that you should not leave out of your handbag, no matter where you’re going or what the weather.

Hand Sanitizer

Let’s face it, we’re living in a state of emergency when it comes to health. Australia may be over the second wave of the coronavirus, but that doesn’t mean we should be complacent when it comes to hand hygiene.

Always keep a small bottle of good quality alcohol hand gel in your bag, and use it regularly when you’re out in public.

Condoms

This one is definitely a good idea for the modern woman. Don’t leave it up to chance that your man will have a condom in his wallet (or that his condom is even in date).

Get into the habit of carrying condoms in your bag and be confident about the fact that you’re covered to get him covered. If you want a better selection of condoms, you can buy condoms online in every shape, size, thickness, feel, and even colour, if that’s your thing!

A Hairband

How many times have you been out and needed a hairband? Countless. That ‘windswept and interesting look’ only really works in the movies anyway.

For best coverage, carry a couple of hair bands and a few hairpins in your bag, maybe even some dry shampoo and a small comb that will cover most hair emergencies pretty well.

Headphones or Earbuds

So you’re there, sitting in your local coffee shop doing your best “I’m working, really I am” look and trying to enjoy a quiet vegan mochaccino, and that annoying guy two tables down has decided that everyone needs to listen to whatever rubbish is on his iPhone, what do you do?

Whip out your headphones or stick in your earbuds; you haven’t got time for that when you’re looking busy, right?

A Portable Battery

Every smartphone manufacturer would love you to believe that their phone battery will last a week without a charge, but let’s face it, that’s never going to happen, and you know your phone will die at the most inopportune moment.

That’s why you need to carry a portable phone battery and a charging lead. They’re also great for helping you strike up a conversation too!

Lip Balm

In the summertime, lips can get sunburnt just like the rest of your face, and the cold cracked lips of winter are never an attractive sight.

Carry a good SPF 15+ lip balm in your bag to combat such fashion faux pas and keep your lips soft and kissable all year round.
