Melbourne’s Queen of Cabaret Dolly Diamond and the multi-award winning cabaret wineo Tash York are thrilled to be back on stage at the Butterfly Club this January. After spending a very socially distant year stewing in their own thoughts, these two divas can’t wait to take the stage of the iconic Butterfly Club for a double bill of cabaret.
Melbourne is well known for its thriving independent theatre scene, and since March The Butterfly Club has not been able to open its doors. Similarly, Diamond and York have not performed a full length show during this time – which is a stark contrast to their usual busy calendars performing at various festivals and events all over the country. Although it has been tough, the silver lining is that both have spent lockdown writing brand new shows and have teamed up to present them back to back in a double bill…. and let’s not forget a very important intermission between the two at the award winning cocktail bar!
Tash will be presenting her brand new show “Trash Talk” featuring her fabulous backing singers The Red Red Wines (Vivian Fontaine and Matthew Hadgraft), which is an hour of smashing original and parodied songs, true stories, improv and probably a mention or two of her cats (she has 3 now). Dolly Diamond returns with her show “I’m not angry, just Disappointed” which after an unscheduled 9 month holiday she’s determined to celebrate Easter, Christmas in July, Halloween and her 30th birthday, all in the one show.
Tickets are already selling fast, so don’t miss out on this fabulous evening of entertainment!
