The Australian Burlesque Festival brings together the best of homegrown seasoned performers and newbies, as well as renowned international icons never before seen on Australian stages. The Australian Burlesque Festival, running from June 6th-22nd 2013, was founded in 2010 and is produced and directed by Australian burlesque icons Dolores Daiquiri and Rosy Rabbit.
Born out of a desire to foster creativity in the burlesque community and a passion for celebrating this wonderful art form, the festival has now been running for three highly successful years.
Touted as, “the biggest celebration of tease in the Southern Hemisphere,” the ABF has become the highlight of the year on the burlesque calendar and has received widespread attention both nationally and internationally.
Burlesque aficionados and first timers alike delight in the thrilling and captivating ABF showcases featuring the most glamorous and classic burlesque at its finest alongside shimmy-shaking bump’n’grind, bawdy variety and exotic tease.
