As part of the Melbourne Fringe Festival, TriAngel relives their glory days on stage through a live musical documentary AKA a totally made-up, improvised comedy show. Watching the rise and fall of the all-female pop trio, the audience suggests integral parts of the story, twisting the fate of these booty-shaking divas. Throughout the show you’ll be cackling and cheering (and sometimes even booing) and by the end of it, you’ll walk away as one of their beloved ‘Tri-Hard’ fans.
Veteran improv performers Amanda Buckley, Amy Moule and Candice D’Arcy have travelled locally and internationally with their own improv formats and guested at various International Improv Festivals. With their powers and talents combined, TriAngel was born as their first improv-format collaboration.
The experimental mash-up of genres is rapidly growing in the Melbourne improv community and this new female-led work, celebrating the joy of song and female friendships, is a perfect fit for the Fringe Hub. ‘It’s also the chance for us to bring a playful, fun vision to the stage and hopefully connect with an audience who feels nostalgic for that time in their lives too,’ says Amanda.
Shows are running until 20 September. Get your tickets here: https://melbournefringe.com.au/event/triangel/
