There’s something about Mary. And Nadia shows us what that is.
The eyebrow dancing Mother Mary summoned the crowd the moment she made eyes at us. The spectacle showed the unspoken power of her eyes. Holding the Holy Bible the audience was as much involved in the show as Nadia was. We all felt like old friends by the end of Mary’s journey to motherhood.
We feel what the Virgin Mother feels and her struggle becomes our own. We watch the devious acts under Mary’s sheets. And it feels oddly appropriate during the Easter Holidays.
The intimate crowd collectively felt the very real struggle of sneaking out of a random bed following a wild night of fun. It feels so much better knowing Mary had the same problem as today’s youth. Some things never change.
She turned an audience member into an Easter Bunny and fed carrots to the fluffy friend. Another special guest for the evening was Satan. Yes, Satan was casually chilling among us. Thank God the cross gave us a warning!
The Butterfly Club did what it does best – a clever and intelligent performance. The kooky venue is filled with eclectic objects and an unbelievable kitsch collection. The electric and creative energy oozing from the small theatre made it difficult to leave without a new friend, be it human or alcoholic.
There are no words to describe the performance. It must be seen to be believed. Check out Nadia’s show at the Butterfly Club, snacks and demon babies provided.
