Darwin comedian Amy Hetherington is hitting the Melbourne International Comedy Festival after a 5 star review and sell out shows at Adelaide Fringe. Her new show is called Where They Hide The Crazy and is about the weirdness and insanity lurking in the Northern parts of Australia.
Amy’s picked her top 5 shows that are hiding crazy and would make for an epic evening out for comedy lovers.
Leigh Qurban – Good Effort

This bloke is an absolute legend of relatable humour and unexpected twists. Saw his Adelaide Fringe show and had a bit of boogie fly out of my nose at one bit. He’ll change your world view with bizarre hilarious craziness. I’ve never seen him do a bad gig.
Lauren Bok – Rock Out With Your Bok

Yes! The world needs more promo pictures with rubber chickens! This award-winning comedian is brilliant and absolutely insane. The show’s all about the questionable actions of rock stars and Lauren is going to tear those eccentricities and ego a new one in this hilarious show.
Aidan ‘Taco’ Jones – 52 Days
www.comedyfestival.com.au/2019/shows/52-days
This show is very clever and unexpectedly vulnerable. 2012 was a tumultuous and insane year for Aidan and he wrote stories from that year on a deck of playing cards. The audience gets a card each and Aidan recounts the stories in whatever order the cards are drawn. Incredible story teller and over sharer, this show will surprise you and make you happy with your life choices.
Get Sweaty with Cheryl and Chardee

I saw this show at Adelaide Fringe and IT IS MAGNIFICENT. I promise after you see it you’ll feel full of positivity beans and silliness. Chery and Chardee are D-grade aerobics instructors caught in a time warp that’s being held together by hair spray, fluro and repressed resentment. It’s a brilliant laugh and good for a group activity.
A Booklovers Comedy Show
www.comedyfestival.com.au/2019/shows/a-booklovers-comedy-show
Do you know what’s cool? Books! Bloody love books! And this showcase features a revolving line-up of comedians that have excellent, bizarre and brilliant stories about literature. Sometimes you see a comedian do a dick joke and think, ‘yeah that guy doesn’t read much’… this show will change that perspective completely!
Catch Amy’s show at MICF from Wednesday March 27th – Sunday April 7th at The Imperial Hotel Melbourne.
