Alongside national tour dates, Galleria’s The Music Gym will host Bachelor Girl’s only Melbourne show, in line with their new single, ‘Speak’, on Wednesday 28 November.
On the twentieth anniversary of their double platinum, iconic and international smash ‘Buses and Trains’ from their ARIA award winning debut album ‘Waiting For The Day’, Tania Doko and James Roche of Bachelor Girl return with their moving and socially conscious single, ‘Speak’.
Launching at Bourke & Elizabeth streets’ Galleria earlier this year, The Music Gym is like a regular gym – but with pianos and guitars instead of treadmills. People can purchase memberships and head in on their lunch breaks to attend classes or just use the equipment, for a creative outlet.
For this special intimate concert, the state-of-the-art music space will be set for an up-close and personal gig to be remembered, complete with fairy lights and BYO drinks. Bachelor Girl will play old and new material. Tickets are selling fast, and can be bought online here.
The Music Gym offers an affordable way back into music for Melburnians. Tania Doko is passionate about their new single and about how coming back to performing has reignited a fire in her.

APRA also recently reported a massive achievement for the band – ‘Buses & Trains’ being the most played Australian composition on Australian radio in the last 25 years.
The Music Gym is the brainchild of Catherine Prifti, a music teacher of 21 years and one of Tania Doko’s childhood friends. The concept for a music gym came about after Catherine noticed that while many adults have a strong interest in learning and performing music, expensive instruments and costly private lessons stopped many from realising their passion.
Suited to beginners but catering for all skill levels, The Music Gym delivers personalised guitar (acoustic or electric), keyboard and singing lessons in a fun and relaxed pressure-free environment.
