The Grigoryan Brothers: The Seasons

Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky writes music that is so loved, it captures us through innovative, melodic clarity. This music has been masterfully rearranged for two guitars and played on The Seasons by no other than the Grigoryan Brothers.

Since their first acclaimed Australian national tour in 2002, the Grigoryan Brothers have astounded audiences world-wide with their performances.

In this time they have released three duo albums, completed three Australian national tours and several international tours through Europe, USA, UK, Asia, South Africa and the United Arab Emirates.  They have performed with symphony orchestras and at international festivals in Australia and Europe.

The music’s beauty on The Seasons is created with playing that explores the edges of the guitar’s tone. This detail is so enthralling. Edward Grigoryan’s arrangement is brought to life by the unity of the dazzling playing from Slava and Leonard Grigoryan.

ABC Classic 105.9fm recently chose The Seasons as CD of the week – an indication of just how good it is – and The Grigoryan Brothers are now touring. You can find details on their website.
