Here’s Veronica’s most inspiring songs…
Vasco Rossi – Sally
I grew up listening to Vasco Rossi, so his music will always hold a special place in my heart. There’s something about this song, in particular, that gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. The lyrics are so raw and honest, the melodies are powerful yet tender. It’s one of those songs that instantly transports me back to certain memories and feelings, reminding me why his music has meant so much to me over the years.
Nina Simone – I Put A Spell On You
This song as well as Nina Simone herself are truly timeless. The arrangement is cinematic, filled with dramatic swells and moments of tension that feel worthy of a movie soundtrack. The orchestration feels very hypnotic. Definitely on my forever-favourites-playlist.
Redwine Supernova – Chapell Roan
I haven’t been this excited about pop music in a long time, but Chappell Roan has a way of tapping into something that feels fresh and electrifying. Red Wine Supernova brings a sense of joy and nostalgia that just makes me feel genuinely happy every time I listen. Her lyrics are fun and relatable and her vocals are great.
Are You Looking Up – Mk.gee
My guitarist introduced me to Mk.gee – and let me tell you, I am so glad he told me about him. I love his sonics, his lyrics too actually. Can’t wait to hear more!
Ribbons – Ryan Beatty
The first time I heard this song, I probably listened to it on repeat about 10 times. Something about it made me long for more and more, in a very comforting, beautiful way.
