Frontman Del shares his Top 5 gigs with us…
- This one would definitely have to be aboard the Royal Caribbean Cruise ship, Ovation of the Seas, somewhere in the South Pacific. We played to over 4000 people across three levels in their 270 Theatre. I crowd surfed and the vibe was incredible!
- In 2016 my band got to open the mainstage of Rock USA festival in Wisconsin (USA). When we took the stage there were over 20,000 people already in the audience and that number has swelled to 25,000 by the time we finished our set. Def Leppard headlined that day and played in front of close to 35,000. The energy in the air with that many people was absolutely mind blowing.
- In February of this year we sold out the J Theatre in Noosa. It was the first time I’ve played to a sold out audience in the INXS show. Most of the top balcony seats came down to fill the wings and the aisles at the front which made it feel like we were in a stadium.
- New Years Eve 2018 was one of my first shows with the band. We played in an outside tent in front of 4000 people. Someone at the front offered me a shoe-y from a cowboy boot, which I accepted. Unfortunately so much footage of that is still running around that it has surfaced many times online and I’ve had to decline more than a few shoe-y’s since then.
- In 2012 I was in a band called “Sunset Riot”. We played on a massive festival stage floating 50m off the shore in Sydney Harbour during the soccer World Cup. The crowd was on land and spread out across the whole harbour area so it was pretty surreal.
