Sunset Cinema, Australia’s enchanting outdoor movie experience, launches a brand new location in Melbourne this season. Debuting on Friday 4th November at Gasworks Arts Park, Albert Park, the vibrant arts precinct will provide the perfect backdrop for a cinematic night to remember under the stars.
Now in its fifth season the Sunset Cinema experience commences this year at its brand new Melbourne location. The event can also be enjoyed in Canberra, North Sydney, Wollongong and, also new in 2017, Brisbane.
Running from Friday 4th November through to Saturday 26th November, with four screenings each week, the season’s line-up has something for everyone mixing blockbusters, comedies and thrillers with some ‘family friendly’ and ‘girls’ night’ themed movies. There is a fully licensed bar on site to complement the Sunset Cinema food offering from some of Melbourne’s best mobile food trucks; Mamma Van, Greek Street Food and Boeri Bros. Sunset Cinema Melbourne’s unique movie experience is a must-do for this summer season.
The 2016 program opens with a screening of top billed thriller The Girl on a Train starring Emily Blunt. The season’s top line-up of movies will include The Magnificent Seven, Inferno, Bridget Jones’s Baby, Bad Moms, Pete’s Dragon, Storks as well as the ultimate romance classic, Dirty Dancing amongst others.
Sunset Cinema Managing Director Simon Rollin says, “We’re thrilled to welcome in the summer season at our brand new Melbourne location. Gasworks Arts Park is such a great venue and following the success of our previous seasons in Canberra, Wollongong and North Sydney we’re expecting big things from our newest locations in Melbourne and Brisbane. Nothing beats taking in your favourite summer movie under the stars and we can’t wait to launch Sunset Cinema in Melbourne this November.”
