With the help of the Australian public, Jennifer Adams and Clint Bizzell from Network Ten’s Places We Go reveal the 100 places you must visit in Australia before you die (or they disappear – sorry, Great Barrier Reef).
Jen and Clint travel all over the world for Places We Go, but when asked about their favourite places in the world, it is Australian destinations that top their list, from a hidden waterfall off a plateau in the Kimberley to Melbourne’s own MCG – although that might have something to do with the fact that Clint was an AFL footy player for 12 years!
Having flown, run, skied, cycled, hiked, swum and driven around every corner of Australia, Jen and Clint want to share their knowledge and love of this great continent with aspiring travellers everywhere. Australia’s Top 100 Places to Go – The Ultimate Bucket List is the ultimate list of what to see and do in Australia. But Jen and Clint didn’t put this bucket list together alone; they called on the Australian public to vote on their favourite places – and with over 3500 entries, you may be surprised by some of the places that made the top 100.
Jen and Clint say, ‘[We] feel like every Australian owes it to themselves to really see how truly spectacular the country is. And these days the outback is so accessible, we have great roads, and great air-conditioned cars! So it’s all so ‘do-able’. I hear a lot of people say how expensive Australia is to travel in, but there are ways you can do it where it’s very affordable, like heading off in a caravan!’
Organised into chapters by state and territory, the book is easy to use with a bright, modern design featuring many photos from Jen and Clint’s own travels. Each page offers information on the destination, a ‘What to do’ list or ‘Did you know?’ section, and quotes from Jen and Clint, and public voters. There’s even a map of Australia at the front of the book with the top 100 places pinpointed, so you can tick off the ones you’ve visited and make sure to see the rest.
