What’s your poison – are you a vintage cocktail lover, trend-setter, or a haute couture enthusiast? Whatever the case, mixologist Jane Rocca has the drink for you.
The fabulous concoctions in The Fashionable Cocktail have been contributed by some of Melbourne, Sydney and New York’s best bartenders – each with their own distinct character and style; the trick being to harness the right drink for the right individual.
An illustrated, fashion-oriented cocktail book with a pick-me-up for every taste, chapters are divided into personality types, among them; The Sartorialist, Bohemian Girl, Season Chaser—and of course The Cocktail Dress Girl—and are coupled with a handful of libations to suit, and accessorise, each one.
With its über-stylish aesthetic, this book is perfect for finding something to knock back while deciding what to wear on a big night out, or to mix and sip on during a night in with your best girlfriends. Complete with a handy glass guide including the champagne flute, brandy snifter, and sling, The Fashionable Cocktail covers everything from the classics, Manhattans and Mojitos, to some trendy eyebrow-raisers like Fragola Fizzes and Femme Fatales. These tried-and-true recipes are accompanied by beautiful illustrations, capturing every spirit with the utmost flair and sass.
