Led by artist Naomi Le Get in her Melbourne-based studio, The Art Of The Game produces unique pop-art inspired prints of Australia’s sporting culture.
Unlike traditional sporting memorabilia, pieces from The Art Of The Game are true art that can take pride of place within the home. Each print is produced in small batches no bigger than one hundred, to ensure that owners have a rare piece of something special, rather than traditional mass-produced form of memorabilia that is so rife in the industry.
All prints are created by Naomi herself, who has a knack for creating unique and quirky images that appeal to those who potentially wouldn’t hang sporting memorabilia proudly in the living room. Naomi is a born and bred Melbourne girl, who has combined her background in fine art with her passion for the game.
For The Art Of The Game, sport is never just about sport. Naomi believes “it’s about moments of incredible tension and beauty. It’s about family, history, home, and belonging. It can also be about disappointments and frustrations. That’s all part of the game.” This is evident in the fresh, bold and beautiful prints available on the website.
The Art Of The Game is only one of two official AFL art producers, and creates limited edition AFL, Cricket, Golf, Cycling, and Netball inspired artwork.
The AFL 2014 Grand Final range is due to be released to the public in the first week of October.
To celebrate, Onya Magazine has three The Art Of The Game prints to giveaway – one of each print featured.
