You may have heard that Christmas is only twenty-seven days away. That’s right. TWENTY-SEVEN. You may not have started your Christmas shopping yet. You may not have even placed a single decoration around your home. But it is time to start thinking about Christmas. And we all know that it doesn’t feel like Christmas, until it looks like Christmas.
This year, you may find that a traditional Christmas tree just doesn’t cut it. You may not have the inclination to transport a tree home (one you usually can’t fit through the doorway), or buy a cheap and nasty plastic one (and who could blame you?)
But there is a festive solution that will ensure you’re more groovy than Grinch – the Super Fun Happy Tree, a super sized poster of a Christmas Tree with design in mind.
With three creative interpretations of Christmas Trees, illustrated by Melbourne based artists and designers, the Super Fun Happy Tree will this season launch with works by Sarah Pickering, Steven Phillips, and Sawdust and Diamonds. One third of the design team, Marco Gjergja, of Sawdust and Diamonds, said the posters were perfect for apartment living or those wanting a contemporary look. “The posters will bring design and festivity to Australian households and workplaces this Christmas. They are great for those without the space for a full size tree, or those just wanting something more modern.”
Super Fun Happy Tree measures a generous one by two metres, and is beautifully printed on heavyweight paper with recycled content and environmental accreditation. It is sustainable, reusable and fully recyclable. Each poster is packaged in a sturdy cardboard tube, making transport and storage simple. The magnetic display system provided offers an easy and elegant mounting solution, as well.
Super Fun Happy Tree retails at $135 and is available online at www.superfunhappy.com.au, or at the Melbourne Design Market on Sunday 2nd December and Magnolia Square at Malvern Town Hall Thursday 6th December to Saturday 8th December. You can also find them on Facebook.
