Harley Davidson Australia Lifts The Lid on New Art Exhibition

Harley Davidson Australia Lifts The Lid on New Art Exhibition

To celebrate the launch of the new Harley-Davidson Vintage Bar and Shield helmet, Harley-Davidson Australia has teamed up with Australia’s edgiest street artists to create a unique collection of customised helmets, to be showcased at Mary’s Newtown in Sydney at an exhibition, For the Love of Lids.

This exhibition brings together the works of 12 artists, handpicked by Harley-Davidson, who have each applied their skills to the unique, new Vintage Bar and Shield helmet.

The final show is a mind-blowing display of creativity and innovation with works from an unexpected talent pool that includes renowned jeweller Sofia Fitzpatrick, illustrator Nanami Cowdroy, monster artist Sindy Sinn, poster artist Ben Brown and hairdresser Kym Rattenbury to name a few.

David Turney, Parts, Accessories and General Merchandise Sales & Marketing Manager for Harley-Davidson Australia and New Zealand commented, “Harley-Davidson has been customising for almost as long as we’ve been making motorcycles; 110 years. We wrote the book.

“We’re really excited to have some of Australia’s most talented artists from such diverse backgrounds ply their trade on one of our most classically styled and designed helmets and we can’t wait to show them off to the public.”

The public exhibition will be held until 30th November at Mary’s Newtown. Following the show, Harley-Davidson will donate the proceeds of two major works to a prominent charity.
