Onya Magazine has appointed Gaynor Alder as its new Travel Editor, which means she is going to need a new right hand person to help her organise flights, hotel accommodation, restaurant reviews, beauty treatments and sight seeing whilst she gallivants across the country.
The role will comprise of up to four hours per week, working from home. Being based in Melbourne would be an advantage so that you could meet with the Travel Editor and the Editor and Director-In-Chief for editorial meetings, however applications will be considered from across the country.
You will also be invited to travel on some trips with the Travel Editor and review locations within your own state for travel features within the magazine.
As well as being organised and efficient with strong attention to detail, you will also possess a natural writing flair with a captivating writing style that engages readers. Being nifty with spreadsheets is also a bonus, as you could say Gaynor is a bit of an excel nerd (ssssh, don’t go spreading that around, it’ll be bad for her cred).
Interested applicants should forward their resume, writing samples, a cover letter outlining their relevant experience and reasons why they are applying for the role. Previous writing experience will be highly regarded, but applicants without published work are also encouraged to apply.
