This November a brand new food festival is hitting Western Sydney, with laidback, country fun for the whole family. Proudly presented by Rooty Hill RSL and The Bearded Bakers, the first annual Off the Eaten Truck festival, will run over Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th November.
Featuring a jam-packed lineup of entertainment, the festival will see over 40 of Sydney’s most popular food trucks feeding the masses including Mister Gee, Happy as Larry, Agape, Cantina Movil, Mama Linh’s and Knafeh to name just a few. More than 20,000 people are expected to attend the two-day festival taking place in Rooty Hill, Western Sydney.
The concept is based around community and bringing operators from all over the country together to create an electric atmosphere of good music, great entertainment and a mouth-watering food and beverage offering.
“For too long Western Sydney has been a forgotten market when it comes to food festivals. We are excited to have the opportunity to bring together a collective of operators who are all like-minded – who love food, and love bringing it to people. Shared food and shared experiences are a great way to bring people together as a community, so this is a great meeting place that will appeal to everyone – families and foodies, and of course the creatives who will be inspired by the theme and décor,” says Creative Director of The Bearded Bakers, Ameer El-issa.
“The food festival was created to bring together the best food trucks from across New South Wales to help raise awareness for a great cause. Teaming up with The Bearded Bakers and Movember means we can shed some much needed light on men’s health issues in Western Sydney whilst enjoying some delicious food,” says General Manager of RHR Group, Simon Greally.
The Off the Eaten Truck festival is an opportunity to put Western Sydney on the map as a foodie destination for the whole family. Gates will open at 11am both Saturday and Sunday, with regular shuttle buses running from the train station and free car parking available in surrounding streets. Entry is free, although gold coin donations will be welcomed on entry for our charity partner Movember.
Stay tuned for the complete food, beverage and entertainment programme to be announced very soon.
