Combine an infusion of the world’s finest berries, Madagascar vanilla and cognac and what you arrive at is the exotic flavour of Chambord.Partner Chambord with Seduce, one of Australia’s most established, affordable luxury design houses and the result is a once in a lifetime retail opportunity for one very fortunate Australian designer.

Cue the 2011 Chambord Shine Awards.

Now running in its fourth year, and continuing to celebrate Australian fashion and foster emerging designers, the Chambord Shine Awards will this year proudly partner with Seduce. Celebrating 20 years in the industry is no mean feat and as such Seduce Australia is happy to share in the celebration by offering the winner of this year’s award the opportunity to have one of their designs produced and retailed to a wider consumer audience.

In aid of mentoring designer vision, five hard-working finalists will be awarded $1000 and 5 weeks to create two cocktail dresses inspired by the quintessential Chambord woman who shops at Seduce. Following this, they will have the rare opportunity to front 50 of the most influential personalities in the Australian fashion and media industry at the Chambord Shine Awards luncheon in July 2011 to present their design. The chosen winner will then have their design manufactured and sold through Seduce stores nationally and supported by various PR and social media campaigns – ensuring maximise exposure.

The opportunity offered by Chambord in partnership with Seduce is one that speaks volumes, not only for its ability to allow the winner to get a foot hold in the industry but also the chance to be mentored by the Seduce design and management team – a team that has experience above and beyond what any good label encompasses.

It goes without saying that most budding designers will often tell you of the hardships that they are faced with when trying to break into the Australian fashion industry, therefore the chance to sit alongside the likes of Limedrop (2010) and AJE (2009) in the Shine Awards Hall of Fame is most definitely a step in the right direction.

So if you are an emerging Aussie designer (over the age of 18, of course) ready, willing and able to be seduced by Chambord and looking for a once in a lifetime opportunity then head to www.chambordshineawards.com.au for details on how to enter. Entries will close on Friday the 27th of May.

Best of luck from the team at Onya Magazine, who love nothing more than causes that support the framework of emerging Australian talent…and exotic drinks that inspire cocktail creations around the world.
